Denali Tundra Tours: ATV Tours for the Whole Family
Get off the beaten path and explore the Alaskan backcountry near Denali National Park with Denali Tundra Tours. Our guided ATV tours provide a fun, safe way to explore the wilderness for families and small groups. Licensed drivers, 16 and older, can drive the ATVs after training & orientation.
We’ll keep you warm and dry while you explore the Alaska taiga and tundra, from our comfortable shuttle van or the covered ATVs. We also provide all required safety gear. Our 2016 Denali ATV tours are available from May through September 20, 2016. If you prefer to arrange a private custom tour we’d be happy to work with you in order to suit your interests and schedule.
“With Denali Tundra Tours you can enjoy a complete guided journey into the amazing Alaskan outback or a more sedate and tranquil picnic at our wilderness pavilion
Alaska Argo ATV Adventure
The Alaskan Argo ATV Adventure takes about 4 hours, from pick-up to drop-off. About 2 hours of that are on the ATVs. We launch from our Pavilion site near the end of Stampede Road. After your guide provides an important safety briefing, you’ll don your gear and get comfortable with your ATV. Then we’ll all set out to explore the Stampede trail. The terrain provides great riding; sometimes a little bouncy; always lots of fun. There will be opportunities to stop and take photos – of Denali itself if weather permits. You’ll also get a chance to stroll along the Denali tundra and explore our wilderness pavilion site, complete with restroom and hot drinks, before returning from your ATV Adventure.
The Alaskan Picnic Tour last 3.5 hours, and we visit the historic community of Healy Alaska, nearer to the Denali National Park entrance than any other year-round community. We’ll pay a visit to Rose’s Café to pick up our pie and optional picnic meal before setting out the Stampede Road to see Denali and enjoy the sights at Denali Tundra Tours’ exclusive wilderness pavilion. The site overlooks 8-Mile lake and 8-Mile cabin, the only other man-made structures visible within the thousand square mile vista that unfolds from this ridge top perch.
